SaaS products can now collect customer reviews automatically. Every purchase becomes a chance to build social proof that helps convert the next buyer. A handful of dashboard and checkout enhancements close out the rest of July.
SaaS products get automated review requests
Collecting reviews usually means manual follow-up or building your own automation to send the request.
Freemius already automates this for WordPress and App products through marketing automation, emailing customers a review request after purchase. Starting today, SaaS products get the same treatment: seven days after a purchase, Freemius sends the customer an email asking for a review.
The feature turns on automatically for every SaaS product on the platform. There’s nothing to configure to start collecting reviews.
Once reviews start coming in, pull them through the Freemius API and put them to work. One common option is displaying them at checkout, where they can help nudge an undecided buyer toward completing a purchaShowing Reviews and Money-Back Guarantee in the Checkout | Freemius Documentationse.
Dashboard polish and a checkout fix
This month’s smaller fixes cluster around the Developer Dashboard, with one checkout fix rounding things out.
Developer Dashboard
- Feature titles now support accented characters, plan filters show product icons so plans with identical names across different products don’t cause confusion, and the Email Customization preview received a round of reliability fixes
- Email logo height is now configurable from Email Style Customization, replacing the previous fixed 50px cap
- Fixed a UI glitch in the HelpScout integration form and cleaned up alignment in the deployment UI

Put your reviews to work
The earlier a product starts collecting reviews, the more it has on hand later, whether that’s for a pricing page, a launch campaign, or a future redesign of the checkout. SaaS makers now get that head start automatically, with no setup required.
