The first recovery email is sent 60 minutes after the last checkout visit to remind the customer of their cart content and highlight your refund policy (if you’ve set one).

The second recovery email is sent 24 hours after the checkout initiation, highlighting details about any free trials you offer (which have been proven to increase conversion rates).

The third recovery email is sent three days after the second one and includes a time-sensitive coupon code based on your pricing model to further incentivize conversions.

Supplementary exit-intent popup
A cart abandonment recovery email relies on users entering their email before leaving the cart, making exit intent discounts an effective way to recover lost sales.

You can quickly set up an exit-intent coupon in the Coupons → Special Coupons section.

Once implemented, anyone showing exit intent before entering their email address will see a 60-minute FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) timer, giving them the option to apply the coupon. If they do, a countdown will appear next to the coupon row.
